THE POWERTAC NO-HASSLE LIFETIME WARRANTY on all flashlights

PowerTac warrants our flashlights to be free from defects in workmanship and materials, including any LEDs housed within, for the lifetime of the original parts (the lifetime of the parts are specified by individual parts manufacturers). We will repair or replace your original purchase of these products, at our discretion, if it is determined by us to be a manufacturer defect.

Normal wear and tear items – including batteries draining, lens breakage, holsters, pocket clips, rubber buttons and O-rings wearing out – are not covered, nor is damage resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, battery damage, battery corrosion, use of other non-approved batteries or altering these products from their original state.  There is a nominal fee for normal wear & tear replacement items.

Battery and Rechargeable Battery Warranty Policy

Batteries are not covered by our Lifetime Warranty.  We offer 6-months exchange with proof-of-purchase for PT 18650, 18500, 26650 and RCR123 batteries only.  2-year exchange with proof-of-purchase for Destroyer, X3000 and Thunderbolt sealed battery pack.  Disposable CR123 batteries are not warranted.  PowerTac Lifetime Warranty is NOT valid if third-party (non-PowerTac) branded batteries cause damage to the flashlight due to improper type used, misuse, leakage or explosion.  Consumer assumes all responsibility for proper battery installation and usage.

BATTERY PRECAUTION – Please read!

Use only “Protected” lithium-ion batteries equipped with PCB (protection circuit board) or PCM (Protection Circuit Module).  All PowerTac-branded batteries have this protection circuit. “Unprotected” lithium-ion batteries are NOT recommended – never use – serious risk of personal injury or property damage may occur due to possible explosion.  Do not attempt to recharge disposable batteries such as a CR123A Li-ion commonly used in flashlights.

Use caution when working with Li-ion cells, they are very sensitive to charging characteristics and may explode or burn if mishandled.  Make sure the user has appropriate understanding of Li-ion rechargeable batteries (such as 18650, 18500, 26650, RCR123A) in charging, discharging and assembly before use.  DO NOT mix and match old and new, used and unused batteries; be sure Voltage and mAh ratings are the same.  PowerTac is not responsible for any personal or property damage caused by misuse or mishandling of Li-ion batteries and/or chargers.

Use ONLY the recommended battery-type for your particular PowerTac flashlight.  Important – please do your research and make sure your battery is compatible. If you need help in selecting the proper battery or have general questions – please call us (919) 239-4470 or email: info@powertac.com.  We are here to help.  “Protected” Rechargeable Lithium-ion batteries are very reliable, long-lasting and safe if used and recharged in a proper manner.
